The series aims to shine a spotlight on artists, DJs, MCs, producers, and musicians, providing a personalised context to their journeys and how they became integral pieces of the Manchester musical puzzle. We highlight key moments, influential people, tracks, and experiences that ignited their passion and set them on their musical quests.

In our inaugural episode, we connected with DJ, MC, and producer mamba.exe to explore her world and her remarkable story of how she became immersed in the vibrant music scene. She has emerged as one of the brightest talents in the northwest of England, championing high-energy, percussive UK sounds through her dynamic DJ sets, microphone duties, and sonic creations.

In the interview, mamba.exe reflects on her proud Boltonian roots and how her peers—such as fellow northern DJ Bunsta—and mentors like Mark XTC shifted her focus from a career in medicine to one in music. Beyond her favoUrite flavoUr of crisps and preferred coloUr, she passionately discusses the thrill of being enveloped in a world centered around creativity and expression.

Throughout the video, we traverse various iconic locations in Manchester, including Band On The Wall and Sackville Gardens—sites that hold significant relevance to mamba.exe's origin story. She also shares how Erykah Badu's "Didn't Cha Know" has inspired her journey.
